The aim of the job is to provide support to a man in his early 60s living with advanced Parkinsons.
The rate of pay is £15-£16 per hour depending on experience. The post is in Dunbar.
The post is for 24 hours per week, over two 12hr night shifts ideally on Monday and Tuesday nights. The days and times of work can be negotiated to meet your needs and mine. Additional hours may be available from time to time as required.
The focus of the role will be to support activities of daily living whilst providing encouragement and practical assistance to maintain independence and enjoy life. To provide company in the evening, assistance to watch TV or listen to music and in doing regular exercises. You will need to support me to get into and out of bed, chairs, and to the toilet as required and to take medication. Assistance with getting ready for bed and dressing in the morning. Providing snacks meals and drinks as required throughout the night. Some laundry and other domestic tasks to support the upkeep of my home.
Applicants will need to take their paid holidays when employer has respite. It is essential that the postholder be a member of the protecting vulnerable groups (PVG) scheme or be willing to join.
