Weekend Personal Assistant / Care Assistant

Hours - Average of 4 hours per week.
Total number of working hours in a four-week period is 16 hours. Worked as 4 hours weekly or 8 hours every other week.
Times worked can be flexible, and discussed further at interview.
Additional hours may be available to cover annual leave/sickness leave of other personal assistants.

About the employer
The Employer is a lady living in her own home in Kettering. She has M.E. and P.O.T.S.
The working environment has a very pleasant atmosphere, and the Employer is very reasonable, friendly, and has a very low staff turnover.
Main Duties
• Preparing and serving meals.
• Cleaning and tidying the kitchen as necessary.
• Cooking is basic as meals are mostly already prepared from the freezer.
• Making and serving hot or cold drinks, as requested.
• Assistance with medication
• Basic IT tasks e.g. sending emails, online shopping.
• Running errands for the Employer – i.e. grocery shopping or trips to the chemist etc.
• Light household duties as required.
• Washing up, filling water bottles, emptying waste bins.
• Any other task that the Employer may reasonably ask you to do to enable the Employer to live independently (that falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant).
Additional employment information
Being a car owner/driver is advantageous but not essential. If you are a driver, you must have business cover on your motor insurance policy. Mileage will be paid (excluding commute)
The successful applicant will be friendly, able to give empathetic support, while respecting the Employer’s independence but also able to take instruction.
Must be flexible, trustworthy and active with a good sense of humour.
Please note you will be directly employed by the person (or their representative) that you will be assisting. The Council is not the Employer.
Sponsorship cannot be provided by individual Employers. Your right to work in the UK must be confirmed already.
