Service Administrator

Clinical Health Psychology and Neuropsychology Service

We have an exciting opportunity for a service administrator to join our team working within our Clinical Health Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology service. The successful applicant will join a committed and supportive team who provide psychological services into specialities across the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

As one of the service administrators, you will work closely with the Service Manager, Clinical Lead Psychologists and the Psychological Professionals within the team, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the service.

We provide a psychology service into a varied range of specialities, including cancer care, haematology, burns, HIV, renal live donor, and intestinal failure. We have also recently launched a new service for those infected and affected by contaminated blood products, funded following the Infected Blood Inquiry report's recommendation of providing a bespoke psychological support service in England for those infected and affected by contaminated blood products.

Based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham

Band 4

22.5 hours per week – Fixed Term Contract

The successful applicant will join a small team of service administrators in providing a high-quality administrative service to ensure the smooth running of the department. The post holder will act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the team, as well as the text processing of correspondence, dealing with telephone and email enquiries, booking appointments, handling petty cash, stock ordering, and other administrative duties as required. The post holder will be required to work across multiple electronic record systems.

You will need OCR/RSA II Typing/Text Processing or equivalent and English GCSE/'O' Level or equivalent. Previous experience of various computer packages, as well as minute taking is also a requirement.
