Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, to join our friendly team as an Administration Officer, in the Children’s Therapy Department.

We offer full flexibility for the successful candidate to choose their primary base of work, from our offices at York Hospital, Malton Hospital or Springhill house in Scarborough. A hybrid or mixed-location arrangement is also available if preferred.

The post holder will provide support to the Children's Therapy Team by contributing to an efficient and effective service within a very busy environment, working within strict departmental procedures, with responsibility for receiving, maintaining, and providing manual and electronic data containing sensitive and confidential information. The role will involve making appointments, the upkeep of our electronic records on System One, inputting of therapy referrals and general office duties along with telephone calls, and the meeting and greeting of patients which may include reception duties

You will need to have excellent communication skills, and be effective in prioritising workloads, with a flexible and patient centred approach.


• Providing support to the Children's Therapy Team by handling general enquiries, whether they come in via correspondence, phone calls, email, or in-person.
• Adhering to established departmental procedures while managing various tasks, including receiving, organising, and maintaining electronic data, which may contain sensitive and confidential information
• Be responsible for the supervision of other support staff, and contribute, where necessary, to the induction of new or less experienced staff.
• Scheduling patient appointments and ensuring accurate record-keeping using SystmOne.
• Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
• Working both independently, using initiative when needed, and collaboratively as part of the broader Children's administration team.
• To undertake the ordering of stock and supplies or contribute to the monitoring of levels.
