Summary
Community ConneX is a campaigning organisation and a multi-project service provider working across and beyond West London. We support people with a learning disability, autistic people, people experiencing other disadvantages, and their families to live healthier, happier, and inclusive lives by ensuring their needs, rights and aspirations are met.
Overview
The Youth Worker plays a vital role in supporting and guiding young individuals with autism and learning disabilities. This position involves working closely with children and adolescents to foster their personal growth and enhance their social skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for youth development and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people.
Key Duties
Develop and implement educational activities that promote learning and personal development
Plan and run appropriate activities
Provide structured interventions to support vulnerable young people
Maintain accurate records of interactions with youth and report on their progress as required
Our ideal candidate
Experience working with children or adolescents in a professional or volunteer capacity is preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with young people
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of young people
