TECHNICAL SALES (CLEANROOM CLEANING & LABORATORY SERVICES)

LOCATION: Home based (UK) covering the North of England and Scotland. Ideally suited to someone based in
Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow or Edinburgh

SALARY: £36 - £38K p.a. (DOE) + Commission + Car + Benefits

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5pm (with ½ hour unpaid break for lunch). Additional hours might be necessary to meet
the requirements of the role.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales professional to support the growth of our Cleanroom
Cleaning and Laboratory Services division, with a particular emphasis on Laboratory Services. The successful candidate will be
responsible for driving business growth by identifying customer needs, delivering effective sales presentations, and providing
technical guidance and support throughout the sales process. Regular travel across the UK will be required to support customer
requirements.

Key Duties:

Sales and Business Development:

* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
* Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
* Prepare customised quotes, tenders, and service agreements based on technical requirements and pricing structures.
* Collaborate with Group Product Managers and lab team to develop accurate scopes of work and deliverables.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.

* Managing and delivering on a range of appropriate KPI’s.



Technical Consultation:

* Understand and explain technical products or services (Cleanroom Cleaning, GMP compliant requirements, microbiology/lab
testing) to stakeholders.
* Act as a liaison between the customer and GPM(s) to ensure accurate communication of requirements and feedback.
* Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support where applicable.



Market Research and Strategy:

* Working with GPM(s) to help analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.

* Stay up to date on industry regulations (e.g., ISO, GMP) and trends to anticipate client needs.

* Develop sales strategies in collaboration with the GPM(s) and UK Sales Manager.

* Be an engaged member of the wider Commercial Team contributing to the improved performance of the Team to deliver departmental
objectives & strategy, sustained profit growth and retention for the business.




Administrative and Reporting:

* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales pipeline activity using CRM software.
* Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
* Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events as required.
* Lead internal continuous improvement activities for the department.



Essential:

* Proven experience in B2B technical sales, preferably within a service-based or industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of cleanroom cleaning practices, contamination control, and laboratory service requirements.
* Experience working in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, or semiconductors.
* Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, deliver tailored solutions, and support clients throughout the sales process.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency in delivering compelling sales presentations and proposals.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK.
* Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.



Desirable:

* Background in a relevant technical field such as life sciences, engineering, or environmental science.
* Experience providing technical support and consultation during the sales cycle.
* Understanding of cleanroom classifications and cleanroom validation processes.
* Certifications or training related to cleanroom operations, contamination control, or laboratory compliance.
