Job description for Cook
Position: Cook - to work with other kitchen staff
providing meals for the community ensuring a high
standard of Health and Safety and cleanliness.
Responsible to: House Manager.
Prepare and cook as displayed on menus as and when requested.
To be aware of food stocks and record usage.
When food stock is low, liaise with House Manager for re-ordering.
To liaise with other staff regarding the planning and organisation of the days menu.
To adhere to a regular cleaning schedule and record and monitor all cleaning duties.
To adhere to Health and Safety Policy regarding personal hygiene and dress code.
To be responsible to the House Manager or person appointed in their absence.
To report any concerns of defective machinery or stock immediately to House Manager
To attend regular training sessions that is deemed legal and relevant to your position.
As an employee you must be conversant with Fire Procedures and must take care of your own safety, the safety of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
