Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Penn, Wolverhampton WV4
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide social support to her 9-year-old son for 5 hours per week to access the local community and enjoy fun activities.
Main duties:
Social duties
attend soft play centres
access the local community
visit the local park
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values: someone who is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality & diversity.
Specific requirements: someone with previous experience of working with children with special educational needs.
Hours of work: 5 hours per week – hours to be split over the week and weekend
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
driving licence
car and appropriate insurance
previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
confidentiality
good at building relationships
Preferred:
good communicator
a good listener
ability to support people with complex support needs
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
