Responsible to - Registered Manager
· A caring, compassionate and emphatic attitude at all times
· Adhere to the 5 Fundamental Standards of Care (Safe, Caring, Responsive, Effective, Well-led)
· Adhere to “The Dignity Challenge” in all aspects of service delivery.
· Flexibility to work additional hours, shift patterns or other duties relating to the needs of the service.
· Support and empower all Service Users with their identified support needs relating to their daily living tasks.
· Comply with Hartford Hey’s Policies and Procedures at all times.
Accurately record detailed information on Service Users daily record log during and at end of shift, ensuring that all information of a confidential nature gained in the course of work is not divulged to third parties.
· Participate in Hartford Hey’s induction programme. Achieve Care Certificate when applicable.
· Attend all training and regular updates relevant to job role.
· Keep up to date with all Service Users support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
· Participate in the Key Worker system.
· Read staff communication book on commencement of each shift. Record information that needs to be relayed to staff team relating to the care and support of all Service Users.
· Participate in regular Supervision sessions and Annual Appraisal with Team Leaders.
· A high standard of Personal hygiene and appearance is essential at all times.
· Always wear appropriate uniform and correct PPE when required.
· Ensure Service Users rooms are sustained to a high standard of cleanliness and remain hazard free in line with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
· Support Service Users to participate in chosen social activities that are available at Hartford Hey.
· Preparation of light snacks and beverages for Service Users.
· Receive visitors and friends to Hartford Hey in a professional and welcoming manner.
· On occasions accompany Service Users to medical appointments.
· Liaise with Health Professionals when necessary & document information.
· Support individuals and their families with End of Life care.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.21 per hour
