Assist the Doctors and the wider team with clerical and administrative duties Managing inbound and outbound patients referrals Have a good understanding of medical terminology Typing and processing letters and reports Managing incoming emails Scanning patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients records Inputting data onto patients records Coding Make appointments as required Liaise and arrange meetings (to include the booking of rooms) as required and to attend various meetings including clinical, operational, palliative, safeguarding etc and to prepare agendas for the meetings and to take minutes during the meetings Retrieve medical records and complete medical/insurance requests Summarising of patient records Type invoices where required Deal with patient enquiries in a timely manner Preform and action administrative tasks as requested Processing requests for information i.e. subject access requests (SARS) and DVLA reports in a timely manner File patient records and correspondence onto patient medical records Receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries Maintain the EMIS clinic system in an accurate and secure manner Assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required Maintain adequate supplies of office stationery Receive and dispatch mail.
