What skills and experience we're looking for
Due to increased student numbers from September 2025, we are seeking to appoint a suitably IT-qualified, dynamic, and enthusiastic teacher who is a skilled and committed practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Outstanding special school and deliver engaging, accessible IT lessons to students working towards GCSE qualifications.
We are a sucessful secondary school for students aged 11 - 19 with moderate / specific learning difficulties and have a range of additional needs, including autism . We pride ourselves on offering a nurturing, structured, and aspirational learning environment to all pupils. You’ll play a vital role in helping young people develop essential digital skills, confidence, and independence—equipping them for life beyond the classroom.
The Successful Candidate Will:
• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated IT lessons up to GCSE level
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Foster a calm, positive, and encouraging classroom environment
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and experienced team
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
• Has experience or interest in working within a special school or with SEND learners
• Is confident in delivering IT curriculum content up to GCSE standard
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Believes in every student’s potential and is committed to inclusive education
This role is open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers who are passionate, enthusiastic, and want to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
