Summary

*Please note this post is held under a self employed visiting teacher agreement (peri)Salary and Benefits: No less than £30 per hour dependant on experience
Working hours: Part time 16 hours per week, term time onlyPurposeTo manage the provision of counselling across the Senior and Prep school.  
To support the Head and the SLT in the implementation of all aspects of School and GDST policy in order to maintain the aims and ethos of the School and the GDST as a whole.
To embrace and demonstrate the characteristics set out in the GDST Professional Teacher Standards: to be Caring, Effective, Engaged, Confident, Creative and Reflective practitioners.
To demonstrate GDST values and high standards of professional conduct at all times. To develop, manage and deliver counselling services to pupils across the Senior and Prep school  PastoralTo be driven by the needs of the child when working with pastoral staff, teaching staff and outside agencies. 
To contribute to the submission of referrals to CAMHS and Children’s Services. 
To deliver training to teaching staff so that such staff have the opportunity to understand the mental health needs of pupils across the whole school. 
To supervise counsellors working in school. 
To work in line with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Code of Practice. 
Undertake other reasonable duties related to the job purpose required from time to time.  About the School
Royal High Bath is an academically selective, independent day (3-18) and boarding (11-18) school for approximately 550 girls. Prep and Senior Schools are both situated on the northern side of Bath, enjoying commanding views of the city and with good access to the A46 and M4. 115 boarders aged 11-18 live on the senior site in two boarding houses. The Sixth Form is on the same site as the Senior School.
