This new role sits within our growing People Policy and Governance Team and will play a key part in shaping how we support and deliver our People Strategy and vision.
You’ll bring your expertise to lead policy development, contribute to Trust-wide and national People initiatives, and support improvement projects that impact our workforce. You'll also line manage the People Policy and Governance Advisors and deputise for the Head of People Policy and Governance when required.
This is an exciting time to join us as we evolve our ways of working to meet the needs of our new Care Group structure, putting people at the centre of what we do.
As People Policy Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle of policy development and implementation, ensuring our policies are modern, inclusive, legally compliant, and aligned to both national guidance and the Trust’s values.
You will:
• Lead the development and delivery of HR/People policies, guidance, toolkits, and resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues, staff side, and external partners to ensure policies reflect best practice and meet organisational needs.
• Design and deliver tailored training sessions and presentations.
• Oversee the implementation and performance of policies, with effective monitoring and reporting systems.
• Provide expert advice on employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Support and lead People-related projects and initiatives.
• Participate in job evaluation panels and advise on job descriptions to ensure consistency and fairness.
• Support internal Trust-wide communications of People matters.
We’re looking for an autonomous, proactive professional with strong practical employment law and best practice knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead, influence and build relationships at all levels. You’ll be ready to hit the ground running and make a real difference in how we support our people.
