Looking for a flexible and rewarding role working with children and young people? We’re looking for experienced and confident Children’s Support Workers to join a variety of support packages across the Kent and Tunbridge Wells area. These roles involve working closely with families to support children and teenagers with additional needs—helping them thrive at home and in the community.
We’re supporting a small number of children in the area, and we’re looking for experienced support workers to match with individual packages. Some of the children enjoy being active and out in the community, while others prefer a calmer pace and time at home. All of them benefit from steady, friendly support from someone who can stick around.
You’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this Children’s Support Worker role, as all of our clients are supported in their own homes out in the community.
What You’ll Be Doing
Each child is different, but as a Children’s Support Worker, you may be supporting with:
-Community access and outings (e.g. bike rides, park visits, library trips, soft play)
-Managing behaviours like absconding, emotional dysregulation, or anxiety
-Providing structure and encouragement in day-to-day routines
-Helping with mobility, personal care, and hygiene routines
-Playing games, engaging in music, reading, or sensory activities
-Supporting with PEG feeds, medication prompts, or monitoring fatigue (package-dependent)
-Being a supportive, calm presence in both busy and quiet environments
These are rota-based packages, mostly outside of school hours and during weekends or holidays. You’ll often work in a 2:1 setup and have full guidance and support from our team before you start.
What We Offer:
-£14 per hour
-Excellent training and access to QCF Diplomas and specialised courses
-Pension scheme
-Flexible working and a good work-life balance
-Weekly pay
-Self-employed or PAYE options
-Free DBS
-Regular hours and work planned in advance
-Supportive team that truly understands and values carers
-£250 refer-a-friend bonus (T&Cs apply)
-Full introductions to each family and regular check-ins from your manager
