We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled results driven Recruitment & Talent Business Partner. To be successful in this role, you will be a highly knowledgeable Talent Acquisition professional/business partner who is adapt at working with the business to understand the company objectives whilst constructing resourcing plans and strategies to improve recruitment performance whilst delivering top talent to the business.
With an extensive toolkit of sourcing strategies and experience of recruiting professional support roles you will play a major part in supporting AFG’s Recruitment, Retention and Talent Attraction Strategy.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Support the Recruitment & Talent Manager/Head of People to develop a Recruitment, Retention and Talent Attraction Strategy.
Working with the Employee Experience/Reward Manager & Marketing & Comms Manager, strengthen the employer brand, making AFG a top and attractive employer in the region.
Working with the Recruitment & Talent Manager, standardise recruitment processes where applicable.
To use pay market data and look for effective resourcing solutions to optimise our market reach in attracting high calibre and diverse candidates to AFG.
To develop training and coaching to colleagues and managers in talent acquisition and resourcing. This includes developing training material.
To upskill other team members on talent acquisition skills, supporting the wider team to get involved in more areas of corporate or professional services recruitment.
To constantly drive efficiencies in our ATS (Applicant Tracking System) with the support of the Recruitment & Talent Manager.
Partnering with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and developing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent to AFG and their roles.
Monitor recruitment market dynamics and share information with the team/hiring managers whilst building solutions for any challenges we are facing.
Proactively source candidates through a variety of channels, with a sense of urgency to meet monthly hiring metrics.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
Headhunting and searching and approaching candidates on LinkedIn and proactively networking for frequent hard to fill roles, keeping candidates warm and interested in future opportunities.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings, on behalf of hiring managers.
Support the wider HR/OD team in workforce planning, talent mapping and succession planning.
Process improvement – continuously evaluate and refine recruitment processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Market Insights – regularly feedback to the business on market trends, challenges and competitor activity, ensuring the company stays competitive in the talent market.
Feedback and Accountability – hold stakeholders accountable to recruitment goals and timelines. Ensure feedback loops are established and maintained to understand why certain recruitment strategies are or aren’t working.
Problem Solving – Identify and address challenges in the recruitment process, offer suggestions for improvement and work collaboratively to implement solutions.
Designing and delivering resourcing plans for key roles across the organisation, making sure they are flexible and scalable whilst ensuring you keep the business/hiring manager informed.
Person Specification - Essential Requirements
Skills and Knowledge
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Highly resilient and ability to work at pace and managing competing priorities.
Knowledge of advising, guiding, and influencing business leaders/hiring managers on recruitment strategies, process improvements and market trends,
Ability to collaborate with hiring managers and leadership to develop proactive strategies that deliver effective recruitment solutions.
Ability to be creative and support the wider team in development of innovative sourcing methods to find and engage passive and active talent, building strong pipeline relationships whilst encouraging them to join AFG.
Knowledge of recruitment process improvements.
Knowledge of current trends in talent acquisition
Experience
Experience of working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruitment & Talent Business Partner, with at least 5 years’ experience, either standalone or as part of a wider team.
Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting, and collaborating with the wider team to onboard candidates across various levels and functions.
Have a strong understanding of how recruitment business partnering links to the business strategy, objectives, and challenges of the Organisation.
Extensive in-depth knowledge of recruiting and pipelining for corporate roles.
Experience of leveraging EVP, employer brand and marketing strategies to help position AFG to new potential hires as a Great Place to Work.
Experience of recruiting in all areas with an expertise in volume/niche roles.
Up to date knowledge of the Recruitment/Talent market and how to find extraordinary talent.
Experience of analysing recruitment metrics and using this data to drive monthly improvements.
Qualifications and Training
A relevant level 5 qualification.
The role is home based, with occasional days spent at our collaboration hub in Liverpool and occasional travel required, therefore a driver with the use of a vehicle is essential for this role.
