Underwriter required by prestigious client, based near Cirencester. The successful Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing applications, considering risk and agreeing terms accordingly.
Main Duties: Underwriter
• Reviewing allocated applications, considering risk factors and formulating decisions on terms.
• Managing policy changes and exclusions.
• Processing claims misrepresentation cases.
• Responding to enquiries by telephone and email.
• Referral of cases when required.
• Carrying out analysis and producing reports.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of business processes.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Underwriter
• A background within a similar role gained within a Financial Services Environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with a consultative approach and the ability to influence others.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Able to make strategic business decisions.
• A strong understanding of the relevant legislation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
