Summary

Class 1 Artic Trunk Driver Nights - Exeter
Join the team as a professional Class 1 Artic Trunk Driver operating night shifts from Exeter to our central hub in Cannock. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable, experienced driver to carry out a consistent route across the week.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Trunk from Exeter to our Cannock hub.
• Must keep to your allocated timeslot.
• Ensuring the trailer is loaded safely and secure.
• Compliance to all Tachograph and WTD regulations
• Accurate completion of paperwork when required.
• Complete vehicle checks and report any problems.
• Report any problems to your line manager throughout your shift.
• Driver debrief with Manager on duty
• Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day

Personal Specification

Essential

• Full driving licence
• Class 1 Licence entitlement
• Full Drivers CPC
• Current Digital TACHO
• Curtainside Double Deck trailer experience.
• Valid DBS check must be provided.
• Good time keeping and reliability.
• Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

Desirable

• Previous experience in night trunking
• Good knowledge of the national road networks
• Experience with HHTs

Reporting to: Operations Team

Salary: £170 per night

Based: Exeter

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday (nights)

Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks per year including Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time/Ad Hoc positions)
Holiday enhancement: one extra day per continuous year worked up to a maximum of 5 days.
