Crynodeb
We are looking to recruit for a six to eight week period starting from the middle of August. The wage will be National Living Wage, with overtime paid after 48 hours in any one week. Wages are paid every Monday. Working hours range from 8 - 10 hours (not including 3 unpaid breaks) per day including weekends depending on weather conditions and readiness for fruit to be picked. Bonuses are available where quality and speed of picking are seen.
The work is extremely physically demanding, and you will be carrying, bending, lifting and going up step ladders for much of the day. You will need to be fit and healthy with strong back. You will be picking apples and pears into a picking bucket attached to your front. You will need the ability to carry up to fifteen kilos for a short distance to picking trains. A full induction will be undertaken when you join and training will be provided, a supervisor will be on hand to monitor performance and progress and to provide additional training if required.
