Avon Home Carers are a local privately owned home care provider, founded and managed by its current manager since 1993. Our client base is a mixture of clients based with us by the local authorities, the NHS and privately funded service users. We have a "good" CQC rating. We see our strength in our philosophy to provide the best possible care and results for our clients.
We are currently looking both full and part time staff for either morning or evening shifts to work with our service users in their own homes in the BS5, BS15 & BS16 areas. Due to the nature of the role, we are only accepting female applicants.
There is a reason why 13 of our Care Assistants have been with us for over 10 years.... we respect, value and listen to all of our Care Assistants and provide a friendly and flexible environment for our carers to work in.

All staff from the Co-ordinators to the Director have been carers, will deliver care when required.
The successful candidates will earn £12.65 through the week, with £12.75 at the weekend and £12.95 with NVQ/QCF2 for weekends. Mileage is 30p/mile.

• We fill all our promotions internally, you will have the chance to start your QCF 2 (NVQ) after 6 months (for non-sponsorship candidates), you can then progress to senior carer with training to level 3, taking on specific office-based roles or even developing to care coordinator, shift supervisor etc

Are you the right person for us?
• No formal qualifications are required as training will be provided
• You need to have a UK or EU driving licence and your own transport for this position
• We are able to accept applications requiring sponsorship
Your role will include, but not be limited to
• Carrying out personal care and support with medication
• Preparation of snacks and meals and assisting with feeding, as required
• Carrying out a variety of domestic/household services
• General cleaning duties, including cleaning/dusting/vacuuming/polishing
• Assistance with personal finances, including paying bills, collecting pensions
• Personal Planning (birthdays/anniversaries etc.)
• Democratic rights (voting cards etc.)
• To participate as directed by the Home Care Services Supervisor or Manager in Induction Training and regular In-service Training programmes and QCF training
• To participate in Staff, Team and Quality Management Review Meetings as directed by the Home Care Services Supervisor or Manager
• To report back to the Home Care Services Supervisor or Manager on any aspect of client care that he/she feels warrants investigation or urgent action including Health & Safety, any change of care needs and suspected abuse of any kind
• To participate in reviews of clients’ Care Plans as required
