About the Company

APC Accountancy is a growing accounting practice based in Middlesbrough close to the Town Centre, providing a comprehensive accounting and business advisory service to a portfolio of clients across a wide range of different industries and sectors.

The Role

As part of the Company’s growth strategy, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior/Semi Senior Practice Accountant to join our team on a full-time /permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who is as passionate as we are about providing an excellent service to our growing portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities

Work is interesting and varied, and the role will give you the opportunity to support a diverse and impressive portfolio of clients, working closely with an experienced and professional team to deliver a broad range of accountancy services and business advice, which will include (but not limited to):

• Preparation of sole trader, partnership and limited company accounts
• Preparation of management accounts including posting entries directly to online systems such as Quickbooks, Xero and Safe
• Tax computations and return preparation
• VAT return preparations
• Point of contact for clients providing advice and support
• Adhoc/special projects as required from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

You may be ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified/part qualified or studying, or have developed a career entirely through experience, with a background working in the accountancy practice sector.

Comfortable working as part of a team or independently, you will be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with knowledge and experience of accounting software, ideally Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud, Xero and IRIS.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients, excellent organisation and time management skills, coupled with a responsive and customer service orientated manner, and a solution focused, positive “can do” attitude are also pre-requisites for the role.
