As our business continues to grow, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Site Surveyor to join our skilled and supportive team.
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Site Surveyor to support our team in conducting accurate on-site measurements and assisting with staircase design and installation preparation. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is eager to learn a skilled trade, develop technical knowledge, and progress within a growing company. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in carrying out site surveys to collect accurate measurements and information.
· Travel to client sites across South Wales and the M4 corridor (company vehicle provided).
· Shadow experienced surveyors to learn how to assess site conditions and requirements.
· Help prepare basic survey reports and drawings using Articad and other tools.
· Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project needs.
· Support the design and production teams with accurate data.
· Learn to identify and report any potential issues on-site.
Requirements
· Prior experience in construction, surveying, or staircase design is desirable but not essential.
· Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
· Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office; any CAD experience is a bonus).
· Full UK driving license is essential – you must be able to travel to client sites.
· A friendly, professional attitude and effective communication skills.
