Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work at a large nursery setting as an Out of School Club Team Leader.
A Out of School Club Team Manageris required to co-ordinate 2 divisions within the Out of School club with children from the age of 5-8 years and 8-12 years. We are seeking candidates who have proven experience of club management, providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children.
You will be required to lead a team of practitioners and to report to the Deputy Setting Manager.
You will work in collaboration with the Management Team to promote, encourage and cascade good practice throughout the setting.
Afterschool 14:30 – 18:30 (Term-Time) & Holidays 08:00-16:00 and is registered for up to approximately 30 children per session.
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Manager who can lead and provide a range of play-based activities for children aged 4 to 11 years old in our breakfast and afterschool club.
As a Breakfast and afterschool club Manager we are looking for someone who has management experience or a supervisor ready to take their next step in their leadership.
Hours: Part-time/Full-time, 25-30 hours per week - Monday - Friday 7:30am - 9am & 2.30pm - 6pm
Description:
This position would suit an experienced Out of School Club Practitioner who is able to take a lead role within the Out of School Club division.
This post is best suited for the individual who has a sound knowledge of the EYFS/Playwork experience and desires to develop their leadership skills further. There are also great training opportunities available for the successful candidate.
A selection of planned activities and organised games are provided and children are able to choose activities, games, and crafts freely and they are also encouraged to complete home work during the sessions.
The club aims to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment, supporting children to become independent and building on their social skills. The position of the Supervisor will be to ensure all children are safe and feel secure.
Accountabilities
Ensure all planning is up to date and supports the children interests
Liaise with parents daily
Deal with parent’s complaints prompting and follow the correct procedures
Ensure that planning is in place for the week ahead
Ensure all equipment is kept tidy and safe
Promote the club positively at all times
Work under own initiative and find solutions for local problems
Understanding the role of designated health and safety officer
All notice boards up to date
Ensure that whilst in the Club children have access to appropriate activities to support their physical, emotional, social and intellectual development giving consideration to families’ ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, ensuring that the School Club’s Equal opportunities Policy is adhered to
The ability to manage difficult children
To build links and work in partnership with parents, carers and professionals to promote the well-being of the children
