Are you passionate about sustainable development, heritage industries, and community-led projects?The Isle of Luing Community Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to lead the delivery of Phase 1 of our Slate Enterprise projecta bold initiative to re-establish artisanal roofing slate production on the island.
What You’ll Do
Lead the setup and delivery of a small-scale, sustainable slate quarrying operation.
Manage grant funding, including compliance, reporting, and budget oversight.
Work closely with contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective implementation.
Engage with the local community and act as the key point of contact throughout the project.
Contribute to the planning of Phase 2, which will include educational and tourism facilities.
