As our team continues to grow, we have a superb opportunity for a Pastry Commis Chef. Ideally suited to someone who has started their culinary journey, and with a pastry slanted passion for culinary excellence, having already gained experience of creating pastries, sweets and desserts.

You have a natural flair for all things ‘sweet’ enjoying the creative aspect of working as a pastry chef. You are ambitious, professional, and aspiring to be a senior chef in the future. You will be instrumental as section leader where excellent communication and advising skills will be needed. You deliver high-quality, exceptional desserts; ensuring the final course is…. WOW!

This role is built on attention to detail, artistic flair, and the journey we take to create something extraordinary. Ultimately, it’s all about the food – creating sweet dishes that are as memorable as they are meaningful.

This exciting and newly created role within the brigade will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment, learning from highly experienced chefs while developing your knowledge and skills while contributing to the creation of exquisite dishes, that not only taste fantastic but are visually stunning, matching the creative range of food styles to suit each environment of the club.

From the Castles sumptuous and delicious afternoon teas served within our Chinese Drawing Room. Or comforting favourites at the Tavern, to baronial style feasting in the Baron’s Hall to the magnificent views and atmosphere of the Glenlyon estate and the Lairds Hall offering a diverse dining experience.

Playing a significant part in ensuring our members and guests experience excellence and are always at the heart of everything we produce, our formidable team are hugely talented creating exquisitely mouth-watering dishes to ensure that every meal is utterly unique and creates a distinctive Scottish experience.

You follow specific duties to ensure the operation runs smoothly, supporting a designated section of the pastry kitchen. Following recipes and ensuring standards are maintained to consistently deliver high-quality food.

  • A skilled Chefwith one to two years of experience in a similar role.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard
  • Someone with a passion for seasonality, sustainability, and thoughtful cooking.
  • A chef who takes pride in consistency and execution, ensuring each dish reflects excellence.

You exude a cheerful outlook taking pride in a job well done, celebrating success and enjoy being part of a team. Warm and friendly you have a genuine interest in people with a willing ‘can do’ approach.
