An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated DSN whois already established as a DSN and is eager to develop their clinical and leadership skills. This position offers the opportunity to further developthe servicewithin a supportive and dynamic team across four hospital sites.

Your understanding ofpeople with diabetes and their needsis crucial in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Your role in enabling the support of diabetes care across inpatient and outpatient settings, while liaising with other stakeholders, is vital and greatly valued, both in person and remotely.



The serviceprovides comprehensive support for outpatients and inpatients. The main services that are delivered are an antenatal service, a technology service that includes insulin pumps and CGM, and Hybrid Closed Loop technology, consultations, which are face-to-face and remote, DAFNE (Dose Adjustment for Normal Eating), transition, and a Young adult services, with more department innovations on the horizon. The inpatient service is fundamental in prioritising service support in the ED/Emergency Assessment UNIT (EAU) and the Ambulatory Assessment Unit (AAU) and discharges to support the operational and clinical role of the trust. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the delivery of inpatient and outpatient diabetes care within the trust and the education of healthcare professionals. This requires practical clinical and teamwork skills to support this service delivery with a leadership lens. Support and development skills are fundamental principles within the team and the wider multi-disciplinary team for this role.
