Summary
Key Duties & Responsibilities Have experience of working in a hospital pharmacy post registration. Communicating effectively with patients and/or carers, giving appropriate advice to and counselling patients and their representatives about how to use their medicines. Provide dispensary-based patient services to inpatients and outpatients including clinical trials. Providing medicines management or other technical information to healthcare professionals both within and externally to the trust to ensure continuity of care. Supervising day to day work of pharmacy support workers and junior staff, allocating tasks when necessary to meet workload demands. Responsible for the contribution to service improvement, evaluation and development. Responsible for the safe storage and supply of medicines. Carrying out any other duties as may be required by the pharmacist or senior pharmacy technician in charge of the section.
