An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech & Language Therapist/Teacher of the Deaf/Hearing Therapist to join our friendly and supportive team to help deliver a top quality service in a highly rewarding role.
The candidate ideally needs to be experienced in working with people with hearing loss, however we would welcome applications from any professionals with an interest in working within the world of cochlear implant rehabilitation.
The role involves working closely within the multidisciplinary team to assess adult patient’s suitability for cochlear implantation, and delivering a person centred rehabilitation programme to support patients in how to use their implants to develop their listening and communication skills. The candidate will need to possess the appropriate counselling skills to support patients and their family/carers during assessment and beyond.
You will receive full training for the role, and you will receive regular supervision and CPD activities. Participation in clinical audit and research opportunities is also encouraged.
