Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an IT Technician to join our Broxburn based production client.

What's on offer?

Working as an IT technician, your duties will include but not limited to:

Work to ensure the business's IT systems are configured and developed in line with business needs. This includes working with users to ensure that the investment in existing systems and technology is exploited to its full potential and is capable of providing timely and accurate business intelligence
Report SLAs and KPIs for ICT service delivery, including monitoring of third-party service level agreements
When required liaise with external IT providers, which includes but is not limited to: managed service contracts, line of business systems, finance systems, HR systems and more
Minimising downtime of the Company's IT infrastructure, business systems and communications
Engage with end-users to improve process, practice and productivity
Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Ensure legal compliance

To be successful in the IT Technician role, you will ideally have the following skills, traits and experience:

Proven work experience in IT support
Associate degree or advanced apprenticeship in Computer Science or relevant disciplines
In-depth knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX operating systems
Practical experience with internet and network security protocols
Problem-solving skills
Technical documentation skills
Organisational and interpersonal skills
