Contract: Full-time, September 2025 start - Full academic year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

The Opportunity
Long Term Futures is collaborating with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Harrow to appoint a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant. This full-time role, commencing in September 2025, offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with children requiring additional support, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering tailored interventions, supporting classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning environment. This position is ideal for graduates aiming to pursue careers in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or SEN Teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support classroom teachers in delivering differentiated lessons
- Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the SENCO and class teachers
- Facilitate social skills groups and emotional regulation activities
- Collaborate with external professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Psychology or a related field
- A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to learning support
- Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential
