Classroom support are excited to be working with a Primary school in Sittingbourne who are looking to recruit several specialists 1:1 Teaching Assistants to start in June and long term into next academic year on a long-term supply basis.

The school Ofsted rated good school has a large SEN provision and sensory room to support children with ASD and Learning Difficulties.

The SEN provision environment can at times be a little challenging in terms of managing children with challenging behaviours, however it is also highly rewarding and met with a fantastic and supportive team.

The positions will start on a long-term temporary basis with the option of going permanent after a set number of weeks working with the school through Classroom Support.

It is essential that you have some of the the below experience:

Experience of supporting children that at times exhibit challenging behaviour

A keen understanding of being able to create bonds with pupils that struggle to engage

Worked within a Mainstream or SEN school setting previously is advantageous

Being of a firm nature when necessary but kind and caring as a person

Experience supporting children with ASD or ADHD.

The rate of pay is £90+ per day for the right candidates. Temp to perm options after 12 academic weeks working through Classroom Support.

If you meet the above criteria and would like to make a difference to children with additional needs

You must be able to commit to the working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm. Monday to Friday.

Have already or be willing to pay for a DBS with a children's barred check, that is on the update service.

No recent criminal convictions/cautions.
