Contract: Temporary – Initial 2 Weeks (with potential for extension)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently seeking a Temporary Credit Control Administrator to provide sickness cover for a busy finance team based in Astley, Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong credit control and finance administration experience to step into a key role at short notice.
Role Purpose
To support the credit control function by managing key administrative tasks, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date, and assisting with day-to-day finance duties in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records and update internal finance systems
Process card payments and assist with managing accounts on stop
Liaise with external agencies regarding bad and doubtful debts
Write off bad debts in accordance with procedures
Manage monthly invoice run and debtor receipts
Maintain petty cash and direct debit records
Produce direct debit runs, chase letters, and customer statements
Prepare daily banking and escalate issues where appropriate
Support with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
Person Specification
Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (Essential)
Skills
IT literate with good working knowledge of Excel
Strong written and verbal communication
Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
Confident, professional, and able to manage challenging conversations
Highly organised and able to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge
Experience using financial systems (Sage preferred)
Knowledge of credit control procedures
Familiarity with customer service and working to deadlines
Experience
Previous experience in a credit control or finance admin role (Essential)
