Cleaning and maintaining a private residence to make sure that it meets any housekeeping sanitation requirements and provides a comfortable space for residents, visitors and employees.
Housekeeper Job Duties
• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks
• Maintaining a clean and laundry area
• Washing internal windows and glass
• Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
• Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors
• Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies
• Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste
• Steaming and cleaning draperies
• Washing blinds
• Tidying up rooms
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
• Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
Housekeeper Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge of and experience in Cleaning to varying levels to meet requirements including COSHH. Willingness to Learn new cleaning methods and how to use various pieces of equipment, Ability to Adapt to Different Situations and Change Work Processes to accommodate customer needs, Ability to, Listening Skills to make sure that they are meeting the needs of their clients for cleanliness and sanitation standards, Good Customer Service skills, Reliability, Organisational skills, Integrity and Honesty, High Energy Levels.
Care assistant part time.
Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting needs. Fulfil key worker roles and responsibilities.
Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities such as incontinence; help in the care and use of aids and personal equipment.
Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of care users through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
Care for residents during sickness and periods of higher dependency.
Help care for residents needing palliative care.
Make and change beds; tidy rooms, empty commodes and do light cleaning.
Inspect, launder and mend residents clothing.
Serve meals; Set tables and trays, serve meals, feed residents who need help, prepare light meals and wash up, tidy and clear the dining room.
Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone; greet all visitors warmly.
