We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Care Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (35 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.75 per hour

Summary:

Thurrock Council is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Care Workers to provide high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals within the community or residential settings. You will play a crucial role in helping people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while delivering person-centered care in accordance with individual care plans and council policies.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high standards of personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
Support service users with mobility, feeding, medication, and daily routines
Promote independence and support with community engagement and recreational activities
Adhere to safeguarding policies, health and safety regulations, and Thurrock Councils care standards
Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary
Qualifications:

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
Care Certificate (desirable)
First Aid and Manual Handling training (desirable)
Essentials:

Familiarity with person-cenetred care planning and safeguarding protocols
Previous experience in a care or support role (community, residential, or hospital setting) preferred
Experience supporting elderly individuals, people with disabilities, or those with mental health needs
Please note:

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an Enhanced DBS
