Social Housing Experience Needed

Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known company based in the South East England, Surrey area who are looking for a highly skilled BID Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities - BID Manager:

  • Lead end-to-end bid management processes for social housing tenders, ensuring submissions are compliant, high-quality, and delivered on time.
  • Manage the bid pipeline by identifying relevant opportunities in the social housing sector and coordinating internal resources to respond effectively.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including operations, commercial, legal, and technical teams to gather necessary input and ensure alignment with client expectations.
  • Develop compelling bid content that clearly articulates the value proposition, service offering, and social value commitments tailored to housing associations, councils, and government frameworks.
  • Oversee PQQ, SQ, and ITT submissions, ensuring that all responses meet the specified criteria and reflect current best practice and compliance requirements in the housing sector.
  • Maintain a library of bid responses, case studies, and project references specific to social housing to streamline future submissions and support continuous improvement.
  • Track bid performance and provide post-submission feedback and lessons learned to refine strategies and improve win rates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and framework providers relevant to the social housing sector.
  • Stay informed on sector-specific policies, regulations, and funding changes to ensure bids reflect current priorities and challenges in social housing.
  • Champion social value and EDI (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) aspects within bids to meet the expectations of housing clients and public sector procurement standards.

Key Knowledge:

  • Excellent written skills.
  • Social housing sector experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project and InDesign.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work to tight timescales.
