Crynodeb
In relation to this post, there is a requirement for increased anaesthetic capacity to deliver additional activity coupled with the recurrent dependence on locum consultant anaesthetists to deliver the existing service. The requirement to deliver the current service level agreements and additional elective sessions requires an increase in the number of anaesthetic consultants employed by the Trust. 2. OBJECTIVES OF THE POST 1. To work with other consultant colleagues in the provision of a comprehensive paediatric anaesthetic service in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. 2. To develop and/or consolidate expertise in anaesthesia for major Hepatobiliary surgery in children 3. To develop and/or consolidate expertise in paediatric anaesthesia. 4. To maintain and expand the excellence of teaching and research already established within the Trust. 5. To support service plans for the specialty, taking account of the changes in clinical practice and new technologies available. 6. To participate in and progress Clinical Governance
