Job Type: Full time – 8pm – 8am over 36 hours (some weekend working)

Salary: £14-£15 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at a residential family assessment centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting families overnight, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while providing guidance and support throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emotional and practical support to families during nighttime hours.
Monitor and safeguard the well-being of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Offer advice and guidance to families, supporting them to meet the needs of their children overnight.

Maintain accurate and detailed written records of interventions and support provided during shifts.

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a consistent approach to care and support.

Respond to any emergencies or crises that may arise during the night.

Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous support work experience essential, preferably in a residential or family support setting.

Strong understanding of child safeguarding practices and policies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.

Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Relevant qualifications in social care, health, or a related field are desirable.
