Summary
As a Chef in Pepes, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for takeaway, eat-in and home delivery orders. Your main goal is to ensure that each dish meets our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation, while also adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
· Menu Preparation: Work closely with the management at Head office to make sure we are up to date with the menu items and recipe sheets.
· Food Preparation – Ensuring dishes are prepared in line with the recipe and food safety manual provided by the Pepes Head office. You will be responsible to maintain inventory ensuring all items on the menu are available for the customers.
· Cooking – Ensure dishes are prepared promptly and efficiently, while maintaining consistency and quality for our customers.
· Food Safety – you will be overall responsible to make sure kitchen is compliant with the food safety regulations in the manual for the council and Head office. Kitchen must be at all times ready for inspection from Head office or an Environmental Health Officer from the local council.
· Staff – Recruit and train new staff members. Ensure we have enough staff to cope with the orders and maintain quality and consistency.
· Leadership – you must lead by example and ensure the kitchen operations is run smoothly.
