JOB TITLE: Financial Planner
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Working with a large diverse established client group you will act as a partner, helping individuals take control of their finances and work towards their financial objectives. You will provide a comprehensive approach to personal finance, ensuring that clients have the tools and knowledge to achieve their long-term financial security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conducting Client Reviews: Gathering information about the client's financial position, goals, and risk tolerance.
• Financial Planning: Developing and implementing customised financial plans that address the client's specific needs and objectives, including retirement planning, investment strategies, and estate planning.
• Analysing and Interpreting Financial Data: Analysing client's financial information to identify potential areas for improvement and develop suitable recommendations. considering their goals, risk tolerance, and financial situation.
• Product Knowledge: Understanding various financial products like investments, pensions, and insurance, and selecting the most appropriate options for clients.
• Retirement Income Planning: Helping clients understand various retirement income options and designing plans to ensure they have sufficient funds for their retirement needs.
• Product Selection and Recommendation: Choosing and recommending appropriate financial products and services to meet the client's needs such as life insurance.
• Client Communication and Education: Communicating with clients to explain financial concepts, plan strategies, and provide ongoing support, engagement, and networking.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to all relevant financial regulations and ethical guidelines in the financial services industry.
• Staying Informed: Keeping up to date with the latest developments in financial services, regulations, and product offerings.
• Collaboration and Professionalism: Working effectively with other professionals including will writers, solicitors.
Skills and Qualities:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deep knowledge of financial products and services.
• Understanding of relevant regulations and laws.
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and addressing client financial challenges.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using financial planning software and tools (IO)
Educational and Professional Requirements:
• 5 years + financial planning experience
• Level 6 qualification, such as the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or a Diploma in Financial Planning from the CISI. Candidates with a Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning will also be considered.
• May require additional experience in the financial services industry.
• Chartered status may be available upon meeting experience requirements after obtaining the Level 6 qualification.
HOURS OF WORK:
Core hours of work are Monday to Friday 9-5pm.
However, flexibility is required for clients who require evening and weekend meetings.
SALARY: Circa 60k
HOLIDAY: 33 days in total including bank holidays
BENEFITS:
• Pension: if employee pays 4%, employer pays 6% both on qualifying earnings (£6,240 to £50,270).
• The trust has the potential to pay annual PAYE free bonus up to £3,600, currently paying about £500 per annum.
