Crynodeb
We are looking for a groom and all associated jobs involved in the care and welfare of horses. Competition yard with high level horses, to include all general yard duties :
Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy
Turning in and out
Filling haynets/ water buckets
Making feeds
Grooming / picking out feet
Tacking up / untacking
Travelling to shows as a competition groom possible for right candidate
Riding available for right candidate
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
No qualifications required, but desirable to have achieved grade 4 or above in maths and English.If not already achieved, must be happy to work towards Functional Skills.
Skills required
Basic skills and previous experience required as working with very fit competition horses. Confidence around horses required.
Prospects
Progression to Level 3 Senior equine Groom apprenticeship, and or possibility of full time employment on completion of apprenticeship.
