Crynodeb
We are looking for a groom who will be completing all associated jobs involved in the care and welfare of horses. This is a competition yard with high level horses, to include all general yard duties :
Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy
Turning in and out
Filling haynets/ water buckets
Making feeds
Grooming / picking out feet
Tacking up / untacking
Travelling to shows as a competition groom possible for right candidate
Riding available for the right candidate
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
GCSE Level 4/ Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
Call Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved - Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English
Skills required
Equine experience in handling and caring for horses is essential however, full training will be given.
Excellent team work and able to work harmoniously with others.
Good communication skills to be able to work with others and take instruction and guidance.
Well organised with attention to detail.
Use of initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner
Prospects
Possibility of Level 3 advanced apprenticeship on completion of Level 2 or a full time job.Support in achieving your career goal and ambitions, as all apprentices have passed with distinction so far on this yard!

Duration 15 months
