Summary
RCCG Throne of Grace, Wisbech is a vibrant, dynamic, and rapidly growing church with members from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. As part of our growth and community impact strategy, we are seeking a Pastor (Minister in Charge of Outreach) to lead our mission and outreach efforts, aligning them with the church’s spiritual goals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preaching, teaching, and evangelising the gospel of Jesus Christ, inspiring spiritual growth within the church. This role is crucial in reaching and discipling both young people and adults in the local community, including ministry to the homeless, prisons, care homes, and other vulnerable groups.
Reporting To: Senior Pastor
Main Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver sermons in line with biblical principles.
Lead worship services and provide biblically sound and relevant teachings.
Offer pastoral care, counselling, and prayer support to individuals and families.
Represent the Senior Pastor at Zonal, Regional, and National RCCG events.
Lead and support mission and outreach programmes both locally and internationally.
Develop and implement discipleship and educational programmes (Bible studies, workshops, etc.).
Build strong relationships within the local community and participate in outreach efforts.
Support members facing personal or spiritual challenges.
Participate in church planning, leadership meetings, and decision-making.
Uphold confidentiality and professional conduct in pastoral duties.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
Ordained minister with at least 10 years of experience in pastoral ministry and leadership (preferably within RCCG).
Pentecostal background and belief in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Strong biblical knowledge and ability to teach.
Graduate of the RCCG School of Discipleship.
Diploma in Theology (or willingness to complete one within 24 months).
Postgraduate Diploma in Missions.
Familiarity with RCCG UK structure and governance.
Desirable Criteria:
A clear vocational calling to ministry with a passion for evangelism and outreach.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
Self-motivated and able to manage time and competing priorities effectively.
A team player with flexibility to adapt to evolving ministry needs.
