JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 71-year-old male living in Dinas Powys with my wife. I am a sociable, easy-going individual who enjoys a good cup of tea and biscuits.

I am managing Lewy Body dementia, which has impacted my balance and sometimes my speech, though the latter has improved recently. Recently, I've lost a bit of confidence, but I still find great joy in spending time with my grandchildren and sharing lighthearted moments. My sleep pattern can be on occasion disrupted, so I tend to take naps throughout the day. I may occasionally experience heightened anxiety, especially when I worry about certain situations.

Before retiring, I worked as a Site Manager at Welsh Water, a role that required excellent people skills and a great sense of humour. I enjoy 70s soul music and am passionate about a variety of hobbies, including watching soaps, Dragons' Den, and rugby. I have a keen interest in cooking, having previously owned a restaurant where I specialized in Mediterranean cuisine.

The main goal of this role is to assist me in maintaining my independence and help me regain confidence in going out and about in the community. Your support will allow me to lead an active, more confident life despite my health challenges.
