Description
We are seeking a dedicated Non PCV Driver (Grade D) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all company policies and legal requirements. As a Non PCV Driver, you will handle a variety of vehicles that do not require a Public Carriage Vehicle license, ensuring that our logistical operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a keen sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. You will play a key role in supporting our operations by ensuring timely delivery while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and regulations. Additionally, our Non PCV Drivers will be expected to perform routine vehicle inspections, keeping our fleet in optimal condition. Responsibilities
Transport goods and materials to various locations in a timely and safe manner.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage and fuel consumption.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving company vehicles.
Report any mechanical issues or concerns with vehicles to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with loading and unloading of goods as necessary, ensuring items are handled with care.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Requirements
Valid driving license with appropriate endorsements for non-PCV vehicles.
Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial or logistics setting.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS devices.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
Hours Per Week: 25.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £16.98
