Crynodeb
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To act as coordinator and nurse in charge of the day between Medical and Surgical Same Day Emergency. To take and exercise clinical judgement in accepting suitable medical referrals from Emergency Department, Urgent Care, South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), East of England Ambulance service , 111 and General Practice Surgeries according to agreed pathways. MANAGER of NURSING and ADMINISTRATIVE WORKFORCE: Organises staff (according to competence) time and equipment for work completion. Supervises the delivery of quality nursing care. Praises and guide team members as appropriate and is involved in personal development review of the workforce using KSF/performance review. MANAGER OF RESOURCES Plans the deployment of staff within the department and ensures that safe staffing levels are maintained over the expected opening hours using the electronic roster, reporting any deficiencies to the Matron. Actively contribute to the attainment of national targets in relation to same day emergency care. ASSESOR /MENTOR of individual nursing for pre-registration nursing staff Ensure policies are maintained at all times Facilitate an effective flow of communication within the clinical area. Interprets the significance of data to the patients condition and progress. Identify and discuss nursing problems or needs with the patients, their relatives and other staff.
