Location: Pershore WR10
Salary: £30,000 per annum


An exciting opportunity has arisen with one of our trusted clients for an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Specialist. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who can manage procurement and forecasting activities for both direct and indirect materials, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raise and manage purchase orders for materials to support production schedules
• Provide accurate forecasts and schedules to suppliers to maintain consistent supply
• Monitor and manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery metrics
• Actively manage open orders in line with customer demand and business cashflow
• Investigate and resolve Goods-In discrepancies in collaboration with Logistics and Accounts
• Expedite material shortages and manage inventory levels to minimise excess stock
• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with suppliers to support cost reduction goals
• Identify and onboard new suppliers as needed, maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Implement supply chain best practices, including Kanban or direct line feed systems
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply processes



About You:
Essential:

• A-Level qualification or equivalent
• 1-3 years' experience in a similar purchasing/inventory management role
• Proven ability to manage budgets and procurement processes
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong numerical and negotiation skills


Desirable:

• Degree qualified
• Working towards or already CIPS certified
• Prior experience in implementing supply chain process improvements
