The Lead Midwife for Bereavement is a member of the maternity and neonatal senior leadership team. They will lead on individualised care for families and support our teams to deliver highly effective care. We are informed by the National Bereavement are pathway and the post holder will contribute to guidelines and pathways, care delivery and service design.
The skills required include exceptional communication skills and the ability to guide, support and lead with compassion. A commitment to education and collaboration and a drive to improve through listening and engagement is essential.
Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at one of our Trust sites. Remote interviews will not be available.

You will be an autonomous practitioner, promoting the best practice and highest standards within maternity services. You will be keen to engage in governance, audit and report creation to support our service improvement. Leading by example, you will empower staff in their professional development. As an expert practitioner, you will be responsible for liaising, guiding and advising the MDT and maternity stakeholders in the provision of optimum care. The experience of our families will be at the centre of your motivation and commitment.
