Paralegal (Housing Disrepair) needed in Stoke on Trent, £33ph PAYE - Reference: 5268979
1. To maintain a caseload of Housing Disrepair matters and deal with the cases as per the appointed process.
2. To assist in the drafting of documentation to a high standard and to provide support to team members generally in their caseloads. To ensure that all work is completed all within the required deadlines.
3. To photocopy, scan print, bind or fax or otherwise take care of all deeds, plans and contracts and agreements belonging to the Client for whatever purpose.
4. To liaise with a variety of professionals, including customers, tenants, the Repairs and Maintenance service, and members of the general public.
5. To use pre-designed computer programmes and associated equipment as a tool in the production of legal documents and correspondence, to a high standard.
6. To assist in the preparation of cases for court, including obtaining statements from the client, witnesses and partner agencies.
7. To undertake research on points of law or practice.
8. To assist the Operational Lead in the administration of the team.
9. To provide advice and support to customers with a focus on providing high quality customer orientated services and the attainment of continuous service improvement.
10. To ensure the maintenance of the highest professional standards and achievement of the required quality standards.
