Trading Standards Officer needed in Grays
The rate is £18.14ph PAYE

The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting consumers and businesses by ensuring compliance with trading laws and regulations. You will investigate complaints, conduct inspections, and enforce trading standards legislation to promote fair and legal trade practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations into consumer complaints, fraudulent business practices, and illegal trading activities.
- Inspect businesses and retailers to ensure compliance with regulations regarding product safety, fair trading, weights and measures, and environmental health.
- Advise businesses on their legal obligations and support compliance with consumer protection laws.
- Prepare reports, issue notices, and take enforcement actions where necessary.
