Summary


A great opportunity has arisen to have a pivotal role in the deployment of our new medical job-planning electronic system.



We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who can confidentlylead our day-to-day job planning processes for consultant and career grade medical and dental staff, and who can support the transition from paper-based to electronic job planning.

As Job Planning Lead you will utilise specialist knowledge and expertise to support our Clinical teams to deliver annual job planning targets so are ideally seeking someone with experience in e-job planning or similar systems with a flexible and inclusive approach to their role.

To provide expert support and advice to a range of colleagues including medical staff, clinical leaders and managerial colleagues with regard to all aspects of job planning.

The post holder will be required to be confident in using electronic job planning systems and will be familiar with Consultant and SAS contract requirements.

The full job description is attached, however the role duties include -

• Providing expert advice and support for all aspects of job planning delivery
• Be an expert user and advocate for the e-job planning system, keeping up to date with technological changes and ensuring that appropriate training is delivered for system users.
• Ensuring processes outlined in our Job Planning Policy are adhered to in order to provide assurance for job planning consistency and quality across the organisation.
• Taking a lead in the development and update of guidance and protocols
• Managing the annual job planning rounds for all relevant medical workforce
• Attending individual job plan reviews or team job plan discussions as required, providing technical support and advice.
• Analysing received job plans for accuracy and completion.
• Investigating queries raised by Consultants/SAS Doctors/Divisional teams in relation to job plan changes and on-call calculations.
• Undertaking regular validatory audits of ESR pay information against live job plans to ensure payments and supplements are being correctly applied.
• Monitoring the Trust’s progress against national guidance for levels of job planning attainment, providing updates for Board assurance as required.
• Working with the designated divisional leads to extend job planning to other relevant staff groups where relevant.
