Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. This role requires a strong foundation in computer networking principles and hands-on experience with various networking technologies. The Network Engineer will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure optimal network performance and security.
Responsibilities
· Design, configure, and maintain network systems including Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
· Implement and manage load balancing solutions to optimize network performance and availability.
· Monitor, diagnose, and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime.
· Perform regular updates and maintenance of IT and Telecom infrastructure.
· Ensure secure file transfers using SFTP and other encryption protocols.
· Monitor network performance metrics and proactively implement improvements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT/network-related initiatives.
· Design, implement, and maintain Telecom system networks for enterprise environments, ensuring high performance and coverage.
· Review and supervise the design and implementation of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems including WiFi CCTV, access control, PA systems, and structured cabling.
· Integrate ELV systems with core network infrastructure.
· Conduct design reviews and supervise the implementation of satellite communication infrastructure.
· Oversee the implementation of radio communication systems (TETRA, VHF/UHF two-way radios).
· Review and validate in-building DAS (Distributed Antenna System) designs for proper coverage and compliance.
· Support the permitting department in acquiring necessary licenses and approvals for telecom systems.
· Review integration and interface designs for various systems across IT and telecom domains.
· Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and sign-off.
· Provide tactical and strategic input for overall network planning and upcoming technology initiatives.
Qualifications
· Proven experience in network engineering or a closely related field.
· Strong knowledge of networking protocols, architecture, and security practices.
· Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
· Knowledge of Wi-Fi deployment strategies and ELV systems is highly preferred.
· Experience with telecom systems such as satellite, DAS, and radio communications.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
· Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
